What Is Bonsai -Instruction Of Bonsai

 what is Bonsai?

 Bonsai is a combination of techniques in order to grow and style a tree, with the goal to miniaturize it. There are two big mis understandings about Bonsai trees;

 the first is that Bonsai is not a genetically dwarfed plant, and secondly, Bonsai is not a tree species. In fact, any tree species can be used to grow a Bonsai from; think of maples, chinese elms and junipers. The word Bonsai is Japanese and consists of two characters;

 literally translated it means "planted, in a shallow container". Its meaning however is quite complex. Many characteristics are important, such as age, no visible trace of the artist, naturalness and proportions. The ultimate goal of growing Bonsai is to create a realistic depiction of nature. But, the smaller the tree gets, the more abstract the image becomes. In Japan, Bonsai is classified into several size-classifications, based on the number of men needed to lift the tree. The smallest classifications are Keshisubo, Shito and Mame, these are between 1 and 6 inch tall (which is about 3-15 centimeter). The medium sized classifications, and therefore the most common, include Shohin, Komono and Chumono. The largest trees fall under the imperial classification. The art of keeping miniature trees is over 2000 years old and started in China, here it was called punwan, or as we know it these days as "penjing". The Japanese tradition of growing Bonsai trees is about a thousand years old.
